Mini Mani Month – Day 16

Some girls are just born with glitter in their veins

Another nail topper today guys – this one is called Miracle on 34th. It is a gold glitter that you can use on top of wet nail polish to add a bit of sparkle! The toppers seem to be exclusive to the advent calendar, but the glitter polish Carousel would probably give you a similar effect. I do like this, but I’m not sure how I’d go about using it; I feel like it would be very messy as it does not come with any sort of applicator – it’s just a bottle of glitter.

Hope you have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 15

Life’s a party, dress like it

I absolutely LOVE this colour; it’s called Birthday Blue (however, I could not find it on their website again). I think it’s pretty similar to Pool Party, just a little bit darker and with a metallic sheen. I can’t wait to try it out!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 14

“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades” – Audrey Hepburn

A rather bright shade today – Raspberry Collins. It is described on the website as a berry magenta, and is from the Suncatcher collection (I presume that this was a summer collection). Whilst I do like the colour, and I imagine that it may come in useful one day, I’m not sure that I’ll be trying it out any time soon; it’s a bit bright and pink for my tastes.

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 13

Every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway

Today’s shade is a lovely light purple called Double Bubblegum. Again I can’t find it on their website, but it is very similar to Spinning Teacup. I love this colour; it’s so nice and pretty. I think it is the sort of colour that can be worn at almost any time of the year as well, which makes it even more awesome!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

The Christmas Tag

The Christmas Tag

I wasn’t planning on doing any posts other than my advent calendar Mini Mani Month series before Christmas; however, I’ve been seeing this post floating around the blogosphere, and I decided that I wanted to answer these questions myself!

What’s Your Favourite Holiday Movie?

Definitely The Nightmare Before Christmas. I’m not really someone who watches a lot of Christmassy movies; I just watch movies that I like during the holidays – the films I probably most associate with Christmas are Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and The Sound of Music, as I used to watch these every year at Christmas time.

What’s your favourite Christmas colour?

Silver & blue. I love the icy colours – even though I’m really not a fan of the cold or snow.

Do you stay in PJs or Dress Up for Christmas?

Dress up. Looking smart for going to church and eating Christmas Dinner is a very important part of my family’s Christmas traditions. We tend to get dressed at about 9am, and then prepare all the vegetables before we go to church whilst wearing our smart clothes.

If you could only buy one person a Christmas present this year who would you buy for?

My sister. I really enjoy thinking of buying presents for her, and knowing that it was all my idea of what to get her.

Do you open your presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?

The ones in my stocking get opened first thing on Christmas morning. The presents from under the tree get opened between church and eating Christmas Dinner.

Have you ever built a gingerbread house?

No, but my sister has, and it was amazing! I hope she builds another one this year.

What do you do on your Christmas break?

Spend lots of time with my family and my friends from school. Also, in between Christmas and New Year, my Mum takes my sister and I to London for one night to go shopping and see a musical on the West End. This year we’ve got tickets for Miss Saigon, but we might go to a matinee of Cats the next day as well.

Any Christmas Wishes?

Just that everyone has a great Christmas and doesn’t spend the day worrying about other things.

Favourite Christmas Smell?

Either the smell of Christmas Dinner (and the multiple puddings), or gingerbread. Mmm 🙂

Favourite Christmas Meal Or Treat?

One year my sister made a Chocolate Log from scratch that was covered in homemade chocolate ganache and it was amazing!!!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 11

Beauty is ART

I can’t believe how quickly this month is going by! Today’s polish is a lovely pale pinky-orange called Life’s a Peach, that again seems to be an exclusive shade to the calendar that I cannot find on their website, however this time I have managed to find a similar shade, and that is the bestseller Hoopla (although this is a bit more pink than the polish in the calendar). It is a very nice, although quite summery, shade. I will probably use it at some point, but not until the weather warms up a bit!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 10

Believe in your #selfie

Day 10 is another of the nail treatments – this time it is Knight in Shining Armour. This is a new nail mask that you put on at night, and then wash off in the morning. It is designed to improve the strength and appearance of your nails. I’m really excited to try this one out, as it looks really good and useful!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 9

Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy makeup!

Today’s item is slightly different – it is a mini Crystal Nail File. This is a really useful item for most people, and it does look awesome, however I HATE using these; it’s like nails on a chalkboard for me, I just can’t stand it! I will try using it, but I’m not expecting that it will be any different from any other nail file I’ve used in the feeling it gives me, so a bit of a bad day in my opinion.

Hope you all have a beautiful day,

Mini Mani Month – Day 8

Life isn’t perfect, but your nails can be

Today is the first nail topper from the calendar – Chalet Chic (which again is not listed on the website). It is white glitter that can be sprinkled on top of wet nail polish. It looks really cool, but I’m not sure that I’ll be very good at using it, so might need a bit of practice before I use it for a look!

Hope you all have a beautiful day,
